
The digital SAT is multi-stage adaptive.
How it works:
Module 1 is the same difficulty for everyone.
Score well on Module 1 = Module 2 is HARDER (but worth more points).
Score poorly on Module 1 = Module 2 is EASIER (but caps your score lower).
Why this matters:
Getting into the harder Module 2 is the only way to reach 700+ on a section. Even missing some questions in the hard module beats a perfect score in the easy module.
Strategy: Module 1 is the most important part of the test. Go slowly, double-check, be accurate. Better to answer 20 correctly and guess on 7 than rush through all 27 with careless errors.
Accuracy in Module 1 is more important than speed in Module 2.
