On the LSAT, it's often easier to eliminate 4 wrong answers than identify 1 right answer.
Wrong answer patterns in LR:
Out of scope: Introduces something not in the stimulus
Opposite: Does the reverse of what the question asks
Extreme: Uses "all," "never," "must" when stimulus supports "some" or "might"
Irrelevant comparison: Compares things the stimulus doesn't compare
Wrong answer patterns in RC:
Distortion: Takes passage content and twists it
Too narrow: Only covers one detail
Too broad: Goes beyond what the passage says
Discipline: Cross out wrong answers physically (or mentally). Don't re-read them. Commit to elimination.
