Scale
- 0.0 — always picks the most likely next token. Deterministic, repetitive, best for factual tasks
- 0.7 — balanced default. Creative but coherent
- 1.0+ — highly random, creative, sometimes incoherent
For coding and factual Q&A, use low temperature. For brainstorming and creative writing, use higher temperature.
