Captain Marvel (Carol Danvers) is one of Marvel's most powerful heroes, able to fly at supersonic speeds, project energy blasts, and survive in deep space. Created in 1968 as Ms. Marvel, Carol fully became Captain Marvel in 2012 under Kelly Sue DeConnick, gaining a renewed feminist identity and massive popularity. She can absorb energy and convert it into photon blasts, making her one of the few Avengers capable of going toe-to-toe with cosmic-level threats.
