Doctor Strange (Stephen Strange) is Marvel's Sorcerer Supreme, master of the mystic arts and guardian of the Eye of Agamotto. Created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko in 1963, Strange was a brilliant but arrogant neurosurgeon whose hands were destroyed in a car crash. Seeking healing, he found magic and purpose instead. His psychedelic, dimension-bending adventures pushed comics art to its limits and introduced cosmic horror to the Marvel universe.
