Ghost Rider (Johnny Blaze) is a motorcycle stuntman who sold his soul to the demon Mephisto and became a flaming skeleton of vengeance. Created by Roy Thomas, Gary Friedrich, and Mike Ploog in 1972, Ghost Rider wields hellfire, rides a supernaturally powered motorcycle, and uses the Penance Stare to force sinners to experience all the pain they've caused others. He is Marvel's most visually striking supernatural hero and a genuine icon of 1970s horror comics.
