Silver Surfer (Norrin Radd) is a former astronomer from the planet Zenn-La who sacrificed himself to become a herald of Galactus in exchange for his world's safety. Created by Jack Kirby in 1966, the Surfer wields the Power Cosmic and travels the universe on a silver surfboard. He is Marvel's most philosophical hero — a solitary figure who meditates on the nature of good, evil, and humanity while possessing near-limitless cosmic power.
