Storm (Ororo Munroe) is one of the most powerful mutants alive, able to control weather on a planetary scale — calling lightning, summoning blizzards, and riding the winds. Created by Len Wein and Dave Cockrum in 1975, Ororo was a goddess worshipped in Africa before joining the X-Men. She became the first Black woman to lead a major Marvel team, and her regal bearing, compassion, and raw power make her one of the most important figures in comics history.
