
Meyer Lansky (1902–1983) was known as the Mob's Accountant and was one of the most influential figures in organized crime without ever serving significant prison time. He helped build and manage the National Crime Syndicate alongside Lucky Luciano and was instrumental in developing the casino gambling operations in Cuba and Las Vegas. His financial acumen made him invaluable to the Mafia for decades.
