Larry Hoover (born 1950) is the co-founder of the Gangster Disciples, one of the largest and most powerful street gangs in the United States with tens of thousands of members across multiple states. He has been incarcerated since 1973 and is serving six life sentences, yet has allegedly continued to run the organization from prison. Multiple recording artists have campaigned for his release, making him a polarizing cultural figure.
