Henry Hill (1943–2012) was a mobster associated with the Lucchese crime family whose story became the basis for Martin Scorsese's landmark film Goodfellas. He participated in the 1978 Lufthansa heist at JFK Airport, one of the largest cash robberies in US history at the time, netting $5.8 million. After being arrested on drug charges in 1980, he became one of the most valuable government witnesses in Mafia history, entering the Witness Protection Program.
