Steve Jobs co-founded Apple in a garage in 1976 and transformed it into the most valuable company in history — launching the Macintosh, iPod, iPhone, and iPad, each of which redefined its industry. Born in San Francisco in 1955 and adopted by Paul and Clara Jobs, he dropped out of Reed College and co-founded Apple with Steve Wozniak. Forced out of Apple in 1985, he founded NeXT and acquired Pixar, which produced the first fully computer-animated feature film.
