Wilfredo Gomez (born 1956) of Puerto Rico was one of the most dominant junior featherweight champions in history, holding the WBC title for six years with an extraordinary KO streak.
Gomez was a pure knockout machine — 42 of his 44 wins came by stoppage. His 1981 loss to Salvador Sanchez for the featherweight title is considered one of the bravest performances of that era.
