Oscar De La Hoya (born 1973) was one of boxing's biggest stars of the 1990s and 2000s, winning world titles in six weight divisions and becoming one of the sport's top pay-per-view draws.
De La Hoya's combination of clean boxing technique and box-office appeal made him the face of the sport for over a decade. He later founded Golden Boy Promotions, one of boxing's major promotional companies.
