The Battle of Austerlitz, often called the Battle of the Three Emperors, was Napoleon's masterpiece victory over Russian and Austrian forces. By deliberately appearing weak in parts of the line, Napoleon lured the Allies into a trap and then shattered their center.
Austerlitz solidified Napoleon's status as the dominant commander of Europe and brought profound political consequences, including the collapse of the Third Coalition. It is still studied as one of the finest examples of operational deception and decisive attack.
